Agiberia has existed for many years; everybody knows it and conquering it. It is, however, not possible to take full control of it. To maintain peace and tranquillity, its dwellers need to cooperate. Mlékotřas contains cocoa – a small cup contains 1.7 g of cocoa, i.e. 1 - 2 cocoa beans. Old Aztecs used cocoa beans as a means of payment: for one cocoa bean, you could have bought a tomato, for three cocoa beans, a rabbit. Today, 880 cocoa beans are needed to produce 1 kilogram of cocoa powder.

With each arrow shot, Obilka shows that she's an archery master. Her arrows always reach their target with pinpoint accuracy.

Coffee substitutes can be prepared by roasting various ingredients. Apart from the now common grains and chicory, they used to be made from sugar beets, dandelion roots, peas, beechnuts, acorns, figs and also potato skins.

Hibiscus contains phenolic substances, beneficial red dyes (anthocyans), vitamin C and fruit acids.

Hibiscus bushes decorated gazebos and palace gardens in ancient Egypt and are still planted today.

The first man to drink tea lived in southern China ca. 10,000 years ago. In some graves, residues of tea leaves were found as well as human and animal bones.

Today, tea is the second most common drink in the world, right after water. The world “tchai” (čaj) is not only understood by all nations in Central and East Europe, but also in Mongolia, Turkey, Russia, Greece and India and in most Arab countries.

The world record in milk production is held by a milk cow named Smurf, born in 1996. She lived in Ontario, Canada, and produced a total of 216,891 kilograms of milk over the course of 15 years. In the Czech Republic, the average daily milk yield oscillates around 20 kg per milk cow per day which means ca. 7,300 kg milk per cow per year.

Řepozemec is a drink made of selected plant roots. A small cup of Řepozemec contains the juice of 3.5 g of carrot and 2.88 g of beetroot, plus 1 g of inulin fibre extracted from the chicory root.

• Inulin is a substance in which the energy present in the roots of plants of the Astraceae family is stored. The body treats it as indigestible; in the gut, it behaves as soluble fibre. A sufficient amount of fibre is necessary for the correct functioning of the gut and overall wellbeing.

A small cup contains 1 g of inulin fibre from chicory roots.

Sea buckthorn is a universally usable medicinal plant coming from Mongolia. It is attributed to having a positive impact on lung and liver diseases and is used to strengthen the human organism. Buckthorn contains a number of vitamins and antioxidants. Because of these excellent characteristics, buckthorn preparations were administered to astronauts as a protection from ionizing radiation.

Vanilla and cocoa simply belong together. They both come from America. Already the old Aztecs added vanilla and other spices to cocoa drinks. The vanilla orchid is a vine. Original Mexican varieties of vanilla could only be pollinated by local bee species and hummingbirds. That was why vanilla couldn't have been produced at an industrial scale for so long. Only in 1841, on the island of Reunion, did 12-year-old black slave Edmond Albius discover how to pollinate vanilla artificially. He was not rewarded for his discovery and he died a have-not. Shortly after his discovery, vanilla growing spread to Madagascar, and France became the largest vanilla producer. Vanilla from Indonesia and Madagascar is still called “Bourbon vanilla” according to Reunion's older name – the Île Bourbon. Vanilla flowers are still pollinated manually.

• Milk is an important source of calcium in both children's and adults’ diet. Calcium ensures the healthy development of bones. A lack of calcium in the diet causes osteoporosis – bone thinning. The illness appears in old age, but the prevention needs to be taken especially in the teen years. Apart from calcium, milk is a good source of quality proteins necessary for muscle growth.
